When an Article or other Item is not properly closed in Joomla Administration it leaves a Locked status for Others users and Current user as well. To remove all these locks in one click go to Joomla Admin And Click Tools -> Global Check-in as shown below 
You will see a list of items from which locked status have been removed. |

Latest version 1.1 Virtuemart version 1.1.3 Follow the same instructions below for upgrade, skip the Step 4 (Running SQL queries Modifying Database) only if you are upgrading.
